Privacy Policy

How CallShark handles information on this preview website, and how we intend to handle it once the product is available.

Template — requires professional legal review

This document is an initial template written for a pre-launch website. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not legal advice. It must be reviewed and adapted by a legal professional — taking account of the jurisdictions you operate in and regulations such as GDPR and CCPA — before CallShark is used in production or handles real customer data.

This Privacy Policy explains how CallShark (“CallShark”, “we”, “us”) approaches personal information in connection with the website at callshark.io.

CallShark is currently a pre-launch preview. The website is a static marketing site with no backend, no user accounts, and no database. It does not transmit form submissions, and it does not create a profile of you.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the public website at callshark.io in its current preview state. It does not cover the CallShark product, which has not launched. When the product becomes available, this policy will be replaced with one that describes the product's actual data processing.

2. Information we collect

In its current form, this website is designed to collect as little as possible.

  • Information you enter into the demo request form is held only in your browser while you are on the page. Because there is no backend, it is not transmitted to us, not stored, and is discarded when you close or reload the page.
  • If you email us directly, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that email.
  • Our hosting provider may process standard server request data, such as IP address, browser type, and requested URL, as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse.

3. Cookies and tracking

This preview website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not embed third-party tracking scripts. If we introduce analytics in future, this section will be updated and any consent requirements applicable in your jurisdiction will be honoured before such tracking begins.

4. How we use information

Information you send us by email is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to understand what teams need from a meeting scheduling platform. Server request data is used to operate and secure the website.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we expect to rely on legitimate interests for operating and securing the website and for responding to business enquiries you initiate, and on consent for any future optional analytics or marketing communications. This will be confirmed as part of the legal review noted at the top of this page.

6. Data retention

Because the website does not store submissions, there is nothing for us to retain from your use of it. Correspondence you send by email is retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to meet any applicable record-keeping obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights in relation to correspondence you have sent us, contact us using the details below.

8. Service providers and international transfers

This website is delivered through third-party hosting infrastructure, which may process request data in countries other than your own. Once the CallShark product launches, we will publish details of the sub-processors involved and the safeguards used for any international transfers.

9. Children

CallShark is a business product. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product develops, and materially before CallShark begins processing customer data. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.

11. Contact

For any question about this policy or about how we handle information, contact us at hello@callshark.io.
